Like the cold wind in your ears
I'm a true dilettante. I like to think I love music and comic books and that's what you'll see here. I do not own any of the material exposed. If it's yours and you don't want it to appear here, please contact me through coldwindears(at)gmail(dot)com. Support the artists: buy their material and attend their gigs!

In the very beginning of 2011 Egyptrixx had already the world’s eye on him when he released “Bible Eyes”, the album we all adored. In the meanwhile he made some remixes and gigs, and later last year he released this obscure 10” on This Is Music. It was mastered by Shane the Cutter, and accounted with special guests. The entitling track is in fact a cover of drone metal band Earth’s “Old Black” (written by Oylan Carlson) and here’s performed in collaboration with indie band Ohbijou. That’s why it has a quite rough sound, with even more distorted (and creepier) synths than usual, obviously, drone appointments. Made me think of Montreal’s “Black Lion Massacre”, also released a year ago. “Hiawatha” continues the apocalyptic atmosphere, as if the world was about to crash at any moment. Really didn’t want to note down this, but it could perfectly be played on any witch-house party. So, I said it.
